The Sidebar is the vertical column representing additional information, navigations, ads, etc., displayed on the website page’s left or right side. You can either place the Sidebar on the left, right, or both or not display it.
Zakra allows changing the Sidebar layout on various pages. This means you can place the Sidebar in different areas for different pages. For example – you can set the Archive page to have a Left Sidebar, the Single Post page to have a Right Sidebar, and so on.
Currenlty, there are nine layout areas where the sidebar changes will be reflected listed below:
- Default Layout – The changes apply to all the pages/posts of the site.
- Archive – The changes apply to the Blog/Archive pages of your site.
- Single Post – The changes apply to the single post page.
- Page – The changes apply to all the pages created on the site.
- Others –
- Category – The changes apply to the category page. [Available in Zakra Pro]
- Tag – The changes apply to the Tag page. [Available in Zakra Pro]
- 404 Page – The changes apply to all the 404 pages. [Available in Zakra Pro]
- Search Page – The changes apply to all the Search pages. [Available in Zakra Pro]
With the Zakra theme, there are seven available sidebar options to be chosen, which are listed below:
Left Sidebar #
It sets the Sidebar on the Left of the main content. It can be added via Appearance → Customize → Widgets → Left Sidebar.
Right Sidebar #
It sets the Sidebar on the Right of the main content. It can be added via Appearance → Customize → Widgets → Right Sidebar.
Centered #
It hides the Sidebar and sets the main content to be displayed in the center.
Contained #
It hides the Sidebar and sets the content to be displayed within the defined width.
Stretched #
It hides the Sidebar and sets the main content to be displayed on the entire screen.
Two Sidebars #
It displays the Sidebar in both areas, i.e., Left and Right. It can be added via Appearance → Customize → Widgets → Left and Right Sidebar. [Available in Zakra Pro]
